Well, BTC’s biggest singles event for the year fired up recently- with our 30th Anniversary Handicap Singles being held amongst all the other 30th Anniversary festivities on June 22-22.
Participants participated all weekend – with five different round robin groups all fighting it out for finals places on Sunday night. The event was played in great spirit, with some tight matches being played throughout the event. Individual group winners were as follows:
Group A – Rod Unmack
Group B – Bruce Christie
Group C – Wendy Whitehead
Group D – Michele Hoskin
Group E – Ian Chambers
Finalists Rod Unmack, Wendy Whitehead, Ian Chambers, Bruce Christie and Michele Hoskin
Sunday night’s final series was extremeley close with the title going right down to the last match and the event running way behind time. Bruce Christie came out victorious with the narrowest of wins over Ian Chambers. It was a most fitting end to our 30th Anniversary weekend. Well done Mr Christie!!
